This tip is for those that actually update their blogs and spend time calling themselves “bloggers”! Facebook has seemed to do away with the “notes” import function. Not really sure why… maybe to ensure that we all now use the applications provided by paying developers! One of the many caveats of using third party applications on Facebook are you could be releasing email accounts and other personal information, indexing your website visits, or phishing login information. And for most of us, disruption of any application is a big headache. So for those still interested in using Facebook to pull your blog in here’s the way Facebook has hidden:
Log into Facebook account, go to the bottom of your home page and click on “Help Center”
Next click on the “Notes” under Facebook Applications and Features
click on the “Importing and exporting notes”
click on the “How do I import entries from an external blog?” then the Import A Blog link
Lastly, you just need to input your blog url into the window and click on “Start Importing” Your blog feed will automatically be pulled onto your Wall for you to share with your friends. To do this with a fan page is a little different. Will be my next post for those that are interested.
